Ad and affiliate disclosure

We want you to know exactly how this site pays for itself.

Where things stand

Right now this site shows no ads and contains no affiliate links. We plan to fund it with display advertising and possibly affiliate links to products such as ramps, rugs and harnesses. When we add either, we'll update this page and mark the pages affected.

The rules we'll follow

• Ads and commissions never change what we say. No company can pay for a health recommendation, a ranking or a better review.
• No ads in the way. No pop-ups, and no ads placed inside medical warnings or red-flag boxes.
• We say so when a link earns money. Affiliate links will be labelled near the top of the page and in the footer, as the FTC asks.
• We won't recommend a supplement or medication to earn a commission. Whether one fits your dog is a decision for your vet.
