About SeniorPupLife
Warm, practical help for people who love a senior dog. SeniorPupLife is an independent site for people who share their home with an older dog, and who want clear next steps without the fear-bait.
What we do
We write plain-language guides on senior dog health, mobility, food, gear, costs and aging. Each guide leads with the worry that brought you here, gives you a first useful step early, and links to the primary sources behind every health claim, such as veterinary schools, the AVMA, AAHA and the Merck Veterinary Manual.
What we don't do
- We don't diagnose, prescribe or give doses. Every guide is meant to help you prepare better questions for your vet.
- We don't use panic framing, "miracle" claims or guilt.
- We don't claim a veterinary review that hasn't happened. A guide only says "medically reviewed" when a real veterinarian has reviewed it, and says who.
Who writes it
SeniorPupLife is written by the SeniorPupLife Editorial Team, a small team of dog lovers who research senior dog care from veterinary sources. We're not veterinarians and we don't claim veterinary credentials. We read what veterinary schools, the AVMA, AAHA, the Merck Veterinary Manual and peer-reviewed studies say, link to them, and write it up for people who just want to do right by an older dog.
No guide on this site has been reviewed by a veterinarian, and each article says so at the top. Everything here is general information, so please consult your vet about your own dog. Read how we research, write and review in our editorial and medical-review policy. The site is operated by Senior Pup Life.
